The fight against AI...
is not just for conspiracy theorists. The concern is legitimate and multi-faceted. To me, Artificial Intelligence represents a great divorce from the soul. This impending technology stifles critical thinking and bastardizes the arts. When a technology freely uses the painfully-wrought creations of soulful human beings, it sires an unnatural and plagiarized force. It stands on the shoulders of laboring artists everywhere, plunders their creations, and picks apart the pieces of which it can use. All for the sake of entertainment, and at the click of a button.
With Artificial Intelligence, users no longer need research, analyze, or scrutinize information. In fact, one need no longer think at all. AI will do that for you. And art loses its purpose in expanding upon the soul, liberating truth, and challenging the audience to reflect. Art, after all, should ask questions. It should captivate us and fill us with wonder. It should connect us as human beings. When a human conceives an artistic idea, they uncover their own effervescent emotion and they mature through the process of art. I think of the word catharsis, which comes from the Greek word katharsis. It means "to cleanse." Through this act of witnessing our fellow human in a state of tapping into and purifying the soul, we as well are touched deeply with that humanity. AI cannot thread together thought or emotion. It cannot reflect. It cannot feel. It simply plagiarizes the work of organic human beings. It cannot look forward, only back. Therefore, all forms of Artificial Intelligence "Art" are indeed imposters, poor imitations of art itself. A bastardization of the craft.
The word inspire comes from the Latin word inspirare. It means "to breathe." When I think of the arts, I think of every layer that makes a person not only human, but spirit as well. And I think of brilliant books and movies that have inspired generations of people. Tales of trial and betrayal challenge us to think and reason. Tales of beauty and love inspire us to live. Art's purpose is to breathe life into us. In contrast, Artificial Intelligence is a pornographic deception that calls itself love.

I am firmly against Artificial Intelligence in all its forms. Not only within the arts, but in other fields as well. I am anti-AI because I am pro-nature. When a technology threatens natural resources and injects toxins into our air, it is time for a reckoning with our humanity. To sit and reflect in nature, and in solitude, and remember where we come from and what makes us most human. There is still a sense of wonder to uncover in the gentle folds of our earth. There is beauty in the night sky and evenings spent by a fireplace speaking softly about the nuances of life. I long for the mysteriousness that the past gave us, before phones and social media dominated our world. I long for authenticity and raw humanity.

This is my promise to you, that I will remain uncompromising in my approach to writing and creativity as a whole. I promise that I will offer only the best parts of my mind and the deepest parts of my soul. I extend my work to you honestly and authentically with the hope that you will receive it in kind. Together let's fight to recover what it means to be human. Let us return to that deep place of truth. And let us journey into the future wholly in tact, our spirits unbroken, and our burdens light.
